Under normal conditions, the oil flows through the piston valves, providing the necessary control. However, under demanding conditions, 'cavitation' can occur, where small gas bubbles mix with the oil. These bubbles are easily compressible, significantly reducing the shock absorber's performance.
The TrackRyder shock absorbers from Pedders, with a thicker design and therefore a larger piston diameter, offer better control of oil flow through their valves under normal conditions. In demanding or even extreme conditions, the shock absorber maintains efficiency thanks to foam cell technology, which prevents bubble formation and facilitates heat dissipation.
