Dream Fontanilles is a company dedicated to the sale of products and equipment for the CAMPER sector, ACCESSORIES and SPARE PARTS for professionals, competition teams and individuals located near Girona (Spain). Officially born in 2015, Xavier Serra, who heads the project, has a long history in the motor world since his childhood and especially in the 4x4 Off-Road Overland sector..
Xavier tells us that as a child he was the typical kid who fixed bikes, motorbikes and vehicles, and that's how his passion was born. He liked to dismantle, to know how everything worked inside and then face the challenge of fixing it, assembling it and, if he could, improving it. Despite studying mechanics, when the time came to get his professional life back on track, he took a different path and went into road transport. But he never gave up his hobby. In his spare time, he continued to repair vehicles, especially 4x4s. And in 2005 he decided to buy his first truck, the Autocaravana Unimog 4x4, which he renovated and transformed to the point where it has become an emblem of his company. At first he did everything from a makeshift workshop at home, and when he entered the Toyota world in 2006, he set up his workshop on a plot of land.
Diving into the Toyota world
Once there, he acquired various Toyota Land Cruiser models, including several HDJ80s, an African HZJ105 and a Lexus 450LX, as well as wrecked cars for spare parts. All this helped him to get to know the off-road better, to the point that all his friends, the acquaintances of his friends and people from all over Spain that he met through a Toyota 4x4 Forum, visited him to fix their vehicles or to obtain Toyota parts that were difficult to find. Until 2012 when he decided to dedicate himself fully to 4x4 repairing and selling spare parts.
Experience in competition teams
While he was starting a dream that would end up being called Dream Fontanilles, he organised several editions of Quedadas 4x4 where people from all over Spain came and he made his farm small with more than 150 people in his last celebration. He had made a name for himself when, in 2015, he started importing spare parts for Toyota to workshops and even to Cross Country and Dakar competition teams, of which he would become part until 2016. There, he acts as a mechanic for the competition cars, drives assistance trucks and supplies spare parts. He takes part in world cross-country and rally events such as the Polish Baja, the Hungarian Baja, the Portuguese Baja, the Spanish Baja, the Olibye Rally in Morocco and the Dakar in Argentina-Bolivia. Although he is also fascinated by this aspect, in 2016 he realises that the company does not allow him to keep up with the pace of the competition and he says goodbye to it in the Baja Hungary. This gave Dream-Fontanilles a new impetus and he continued to grow and made a name for himself as a supplier of spare parts and accessories through this online website. In the middle of 2015, some of the first brands look to Dream-Fontanilles to enter Spain. The first to put their trust in it was PEDDERS SUSPENSION, Australia's leading suspension brand. And a year later, another Australian brand, TERRAIN TAMER 4WD, gave her the exclusive distribution of its spare parts in Spain.
New challenges
2016 was not indifferent to growth and Dream-Fontanilles acquired the exclusive rights to the famous French brand of GOSS rims and made a niche for itself in the field of accessories with the renowned French-Portuguese brand of roof tents JAMES BAROUD, which allowed it to forge another path in the world of the camper, as it is a universal product that can be installed in any vehicle, and it began to target another type of public. And from 2017 to the present day it has continued to grow and expand its team and facilities to be able to cover new brands exclusively for Spain, following a line of top quality products. Currently, the exclusive brands SUNTOP, EGOE, FABRYKA4x4, RIVAL and KANGAROO WINCH have been added.
In short, Dream Fontanilles is dedicated to importing and its motto is to always have a large stock to be able to serve all its customers as immediately as possible.
