This kit includes our excellent Pedders TrakRyder foam cell shock absorbers, front coil springs, new rear leaf springs, as well as the necessary U-bolts and bushings to install them.

This is the entry-level lift kit designed primarily to raise the vehicle and improve ground clearance. If you regularly carry heavy loads or tow a trailer, then this kit may be one of the best heavy-duty kit options.

This kit will raise the vehicle approximately 40 mm (see actual dimensions below) allowing for better ground clearance and a more stylish look. It can be used to accommodate larger tires. The dimensions provided assume a standard vehicle. If you have additional front-end equipment such as a winch or a bumper, this will affect the final installed height. If this is the case, please contact us as different springs may need to be supplied for your application.

This kit is for those who subject their vehicle to significant changes in load regularly, and for those where the full load condition exceeds what our heavy-duty kit 803246 can accommodate and where a stiffer rear spring would introduce unacceptably harsh ride quality when unloaded.

This kit improves the cargo-carrying capacity compared to the standard D-Max Ranger rear leaf spring, while still allowing for unloaded operation. However, our rear leaf spring, combined with our special valve shock absorber, allows us to maintain an unloaded ride comfort level comparable to the standard vehicle.

While the rear leaf spring in this kit is stronger than the standard leaf spring, there is a limit to what it can support. To help with this, this kit comes with additional AIR BAGS. These are installed between the rear leaf springs and the chassis rails. The kit supplied requires them to be inflated with an air line with a valve (the same as used for inflating tires) when heavily loaded to raise the rear of the vehicle to an acceptable height. An option would be an air compressor, to inflate from inside the cabin, is available by purchasing our kit 499000.

Please note that, starting from the 2019 model, some D-Max come new with a softer and compatible rear leaf spring. Installing this kit will make the rear ride of your vehicle firmer.

The new softer leaf springs have 3 leaves, 2 primaries and 1 secondary. The other stiffer set has 5 leaves, 3 primaries and 2 secondaries.

A MINIMUM load of 300 kg on the rear is recommended at all times. However, note that a hardtop and an average trailer hitch will be around 130-150 kg.

These components replace the original elements. No other modifications to the vehicle are necessary. After assembly, we highly recommend getting a wheel alignment for optimal performance of your vehicle.
