The Pedders Air Assist suspension kits for vehicles with coil springs will level your vehicle and assist with more effective braking and handling, even with heavy loads and adverse road conditions.
Recreational and work vehicles can be comfortably used even when loaded with the maximum gross vehicle weight. The airbags work with the existing suspension to help carry this load, allowing maximizing safe load capacity, providing a longer life for the springs and less tire wear.
As the load increases, the distance between the frame and the axle bump stop decreases, meaning it takes less to reach the suspension bump stop and cause damage. The assist kits allow maintaining the desired height regardless of the load condition, maximizing suspension travel and reducing the possibility of damage, suspension fatigue, and abrupt displacement from reaching the suspension bump stop.
Unbalanced loads can cause the front of the vehicle to reduce contact with the road and even cause insufficient illumination of the road by the headlights, leading to steering problems. The kit maintains the correct vehicle level and, in turn, its geometry, preventing these problems and thus increasing safety.
Due to the adjustable nature of the auxiliary airbags, they can inflate or deflate to adapt to variable road or load conditions, optimizing steering, balance, and handling.
The adjustable nature of the air assist system allows leveling from front to back and side to side in the existing suspension system.
