Heavy-duty rear Foam Cell shock absorber for Jeep Wrangler JL - Pedders

The shock absorbers in the Trakryder range with twin-tube Foam Cell technology are high-performance shock absorbers designed to provide consistent, precise ride control without compromising comfort on the most demanding terrain.

Under normal conditions, oil passes through the piston valves to provide the necessary control, but demanding conditions can cause 'cavitation', in which small gas bubbles mix with the oil. These bubbles are easily compressed, significantly reducing shock absorber performance.

The shock absorbers in the TrakRyder range from Pedders are thicker and therefore have a larger-diameter piston, providing better control of oil flow through their valves under normal conditions. In demanding or even extreme conditions, the shock absorber maintains its effectiveness thanks to foam cell technology, which prevents bubbles from forming while helping to dissipate heat. This technology therefore provides reliable, effective performance in all conditions. (see the video below)

Another advantage of a twin-tube design such as the Pedders TrakRyder, particularly when driving off-road, is that if stones are thrown up, hit the shock absorber body and dent it, this will not damage the shock absorber or affect its operation.
