THE KINETIC ROPE:
The Saber Offroad kinetic recovery rope, with a length of 9 metres and a rating of 12 500 kg, is one of the most effective recovery tools you can carry in your vehicle. The key feature that makes this kinetic recovery rope so effective is its ability to stretch. Under load, it stretches by up to 30%, providing many benefits during vehicle recovery. Compared with even the best ropes on the market, it offers 50 % more stretch. This additional stretch significantly eases the sudden shock felt during vehicle recovery, reducing stress.
With kinetic recovery ropes, some slack can be left before the vehicle begins the recovery. This allows the rope to gain more momentum and therefore develop a much greater pulling force, which is especially helpful on very loose terrain such as sand, snow or mud. Because the kinetic recovery rope is excellent at absorbing shock, it will simply stretch under tension and then transfer all the energy gained from the recovery vehicle to the vehicle that needs it.

As part of the recovery kit, Saber Offroad has included our fully bound heavy-duty soft shackles rated at 20 000 kg.
As with the other products in the Saber Offroad shackle range, this product is designed to be a safer, stronger, lighter and easier-to-use alternative to other shackles, both soft and metal. Tested at a NATA-accredited facility in Melbourne, Saber Offroad shackles perform at a higher level than many other competing products tested. Combining Saber Offroad’s fully bound 20 000 kg heavy-duty soft shackles with a 12 500 kg kinetic recovery rope will result in a much safer recovery. There are examples everywhere of unrated metal shackles, and in some cases rated ones, failing during recovery, and the damage to vehicles and, more importantly, the injuries to those inside and around the vehicles are horrendous. A well-matched, NATA-tested soft shackle and kinetic recovery rope virtually eliminate these risks.
