This system uses a shock absorber with a hydraulic self-leveling function that also supports part of the vehicle's weight. When this function fails, the vehicle sits lower because the spring is now solely responsible for bearing the weight.

Note: Not all Santa Fe models come with a self-leveling system; it is installed on certain models or as an option. The Pedders kit fits both variants.

Important: As of June 2007, some Sorento models have a different type of rear shock absorber. This kit is compatible only with "loop" type mounts. If your Sorento is from that date, check the mount type before purchasing.
