After half a century and nearly three million units sold worldwide, the Suzuki Jimny is a revered all-terrain vehicle that can now only be found on the Spanish second-hand market. The Japanese brand stopped selling it in Europe to comply with the new European emissions standard that set emissions at 95 g/km of CO₂, and launched a new, fully renovated version in a two-seater industrial format, which it called the Suzuki Jimny Pro.
The old version disappeared from European dealerships to make way for the new generation, which returned in part to its origins with a retro aesthetic, reminiscent of the first versions of the vehicle by recovering the round headlights framing the black front grille, and leaving behind the square shapes of its 1998 predecessor.
The current Jimny, however, still maintains the incentives that have made it such a sought-after vehicle: reduced dimensions and great off-road capabilities at a very reasonable price. The result is that the Japanese brand has achieved with the introduction of this new version that both the new model and the old ones are highly sought after.
This is probably why brands such as Fabryka 4x4 and Pedders have opted to reinforce the weak points of this vehicle and further improve its off-road capabilities, both in the third and fourth generation of the vehicle.
When the vehicle is used to the extreme, the bumper is when it makes the most sense, because apart from protecting from possible crashes, if it is reinforced, it can save you from obstacles on the ground that can cause real damage or scratches.
For the fourth generation Jimny, Fabryka 4x4 offers us the front and rear reinforced steel bumpers, which have a great capacity for resistance. However, in this case it will require a small cut in the original bumper to allow the cable or guide to pass through.
Another accessory is the non-slip footboards. In addition to facilitating access to the vehicle, they are elegant and, once mounted on the 4x4, they will contribute to giving it an offroader aesthetic while protecting the bodywork sill with reinforced and bent steel in a thickness of 3mm to 6mm.
When going on an adventure it is worth being as prepared as possible. The Polish firm has also designed the rear right wheel support (specific for the brand's bumper) which is very useful for carrying the spare wheel. And, if that were not enough, there are also other useful accessories such as headlights or towing rings, which will increase safety.
